ADMIRAL

Originally from Saginaw, MI, our Founder & Chief Admiral relocated to Atlanta, Georgia for opportunities to maximize his skillset in performing arts, media production, and youth advocacy. A survivor himself, he founded our nonprofit in an effort to give future generations a leg up that his peers and himself didn’t have.

While instilling the insights and survival skills developed from a pre-technology driven childhood as “outside” and “off-the-porch” kids, his goal is to lead an urban renaissance in creative media, community policing, and education.

Some of his favorite things are Michigan rap music, screenwriting, and his 747 kids adopted from his time as an educator and neighborhood uncle.

VICE ADMIRAL

Originally from Rome, GA, our Vice Admiral has been stationed in Metro Atlanta for the last couple of decades as a certified high-school educator and youth advocate. Her career beginnings originated in the healthcare industry as a Social Services Coordinator in Hospice, along with other roles in social work, program direction, and nursing.

With a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Kennesaw State University, and a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Argosy University, she uses her caregiver foundation as a servant leader in youth development.

Some of her favorite things are Prince, reading, and her students.

COMMUNICATIONS ADMIRAL

Originally from Saginaw, MI, our Communications Admiral now resides in Walker, MI. A passionate creative, Author Shey Marie has written and published over 20 urban fiction novels, and self-help journals for women and children. Alongside a 20-year career as a medical professional in residential facilities, hospitals, and outpatient clinics.

Her passion for mentoring young women as a domestic violence survivor and mother of four sons aids her in her board role, and on-the-ground volunteer and servant community work.

Some of her favorite things are Law & Order: SVU, interior decorating, and nurturing her plants.

YOUTH RELATIONS ADMIRAL

From Atlanta, GA, MJ’s journey as a young survivor of circumstance propels him in his quests of breaking generational curses as our Youth Relations Admiral. Acting as a liaison between programs and administration, he is able to give on-the-ground insight and oversight into the social, emotional, and cultural solution needs of our youth.

Some of his favorite things are working hard, designing merchandise, and anything car related.

SECRETARY ADMIRAL

From Saginaw, MI, currently residing in Metro Detroit, Tyra’s experiences in educational, professional, and cultural spaces drive her passion for youth and community development. She is able to use her skillset and experiential knowledge to support our programs and initiatives as she journeys through her career as a data analyst by trade, and dancer by gift.

Some of her favorite things are dancing, watching Pretty Little Liars on-replay, and spending time with family and friends.

OUTREACH ADMIRAL

From the Southside of Atlanta, GA, Tyrek’s experiences in urban environments shaped his life-long community reformation goals. A published author, poet, and former athlete, he has an array of enrichment solutions co-signed by his Bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies. Aligned with his holistic view of life and nature to lead systemic change.

Some of his favorite things are reading Black literature, walking through nature, and crafting community art forms.
